I won't have to do marathon cleaning for company to come!

Drox is feeling better, those upper abs have had his full attention for a couple of days now but he MAY survive... not another round of 60 sit-ups on an inclined bench with a 6 lb medicine ball on his chest... but he may be able to help get things ready for Ddonn, ElCid and the squirrels! Now, of course we both have the drippy allergy/summer cold thing going on and I have to add tissues to the list of things to buy!

Thanks to El Cid, we will have a Dad to fix breakfast for this Sunday! ! ! We got menu suggestions this morning for wheatless breakfasts and have drafted a shopping list... now we'll see what we can afford and go from there. We need to know his favorite color still... my darling offspring are enamored of tinting one's milk one's favorite color for special occasions.

I named Tiney after my best friend... so I guess that her name here will have to be Tiny Sr. I was able to text AND talk to her this morning, Sr. that is, and once again remember how nice it is to have someone you know and love and trust and have 'history' with~ to share just every day things and challenges and 'hey, this works for me' ideas. We lost touch for YEARS and yet both families of children know about the other... even the child born after our last visit believes he knows his 'aunt' and 'uncle' and their children! All he has had is stories, photos and the memories of others... but they are real to him... family.

On to the dust bunnies and laundry [company means clean sheets (even tho' it isn't Saturday!)] and dishes and FOOD and shopping, etc. Drox is headed for a mug of hot pink lemonade... it pays to keep the troops happy.
And no matter WHAT he sez 'troops' is NOT spelled 's-l-a-v-e' !
