there will come a time that ALL of my children are Adults!

Despite the fact that Le believes 18 is grown up and 'adult', I grew up when 21 meant you were really and truly an "Adult". The fact that I was one of the first 18 year olds to vote in a Presidential Election may explain the difference of opinion. The 1972 election was the first time 18 year olds could vote, before then it was 21.

Today life Should settle in a little.
Last night we left Wil at the airport to head home, she was due in there at @0500 this morning. I am sure Mr More Calories is very happy. [I need to find a better 'code' name for him but that is one she has used, so there I am]
This morning Tiney, et al, left the same airport headed for 3 years in Germany.
Sunday evening my mother had arrived at the same airport from her vacation in CA, minus her coat and wallet. Debit card cancelled and need to replace ID - today? - have to call DMV to see what that will require. She has managed to misplace her check book in the day she has been home. So we get to look for that and her box of duplicate checks and her unused checks. We met with her 'life coach' yesterday at her soon to be primary care physician's office. She is Very nice and encouraging. Mother liked her [score].
The prior Thursday Wil had arrived for a 5 day visit, only a couple of days back from 7 months in Morocco. The best part of that, besides all of the help she gave her sister with packing for an international flight with a husband and 3 little boys, was time spent with her. We rented Just Dance 2014 from Redbox and spent time "interacting" ;-} I had the more responsive wii mote because I definitely moved a whole lot less than She did! She helped me un-decorate the tree that afternoon also.We also fit in clothes shopping just before she left and I have a new blouse and jeans. Not an outfit but separates that will go with things I already have. Shopping is painful for both of us but we survived and my mother sat in a relatively warm car people watching while we shopped. I tried on 6 items, o ye of little faith! She did not have to ask if I would actually wear the blouse, it was hard for me to take it off and put my own blouse and sweater back on. We also ate at MoMo's, a place Wil had looked up back in November that turned out to be relatively close to the airport, and it was Good. Mo mo means dumpling, we are talking Nepal and Tibet here. Everything we got was good. The flavors were amazing and when Tiney gets back we Have to take her there. It was her kind of spicy.

While I was on my own I spent time at friends' homes, time chilling at Buh's [mended his Polar King coat], lots of baking, crocheted scarves for Matey and Mario, knitted a hat for Little Brother from the same yarn, knitted a hat for Cutie Baby [same yarn], remade a knitted hat for Buh and used the resulting yarn to knit another hat for Buh [plus there is still yarn for a hat for me], started knitting a blanket - candy apple red - for Cutie Baby, knitted a pair of turquoise shimmer mitts for Tiney, [she will have to add the buttons because I finished knitting and seaming them yesterday about noon]. I met MM's parents and grandmother on Christmas Eve, spent Christmas morning with my bishop's family and received wonderful unexpected gifts [I have a Coat!!!] spent New Year's Eve with Buh and MM and had a great time [that is when I started Cutie Baby's blanket], [On the 31st I Renewed my Costco card and got gas one last time in 2013, and dropped off mini cream puffs to people], went to lunch with Wil, Buh, MM, Tiney and Matey, went to dinner with the preceding PLUS Sgt and Little brother. Joe's Crab Shop was more fun than I expected, Wil and I shared broccoli, stuffed shrimp and coleslaw. Plus we filched part of Matey's broccoli...

Now I will revise the age of my youngest child on my blog and get back to the world of shower, dress, eat, look for lost items, contact the DMV, etc. My mother gained weight at my brother's house, her pants are trying not to button at the waist, and the doctor's scale yesterday said she is 132, I aim for 128 -132 for her, but she is sure she gained 10 lbs so I need to have the wii going this morning to weigh on it, so she can see the charted weight vs her current weight. She was NOT 122 when she went to CA! She was 127 but from the inside it apparently feels like an extra 10 lbs. She walked the dog in CA and since it is in the teens and 20s here, we are going to try walking at the mall so she can keep up the good exercise, and maybe the good appetite?

xoxoxox  [Wil left me a list of local depression counselors to choose from. We meet Friday with a lady from an organization that helps with respite for caregivers. Hoping the silence from Drox means he gets to go to the temple tomorrow. this is a ps, btw ;-Þ  and fyi]
